Julie Wynne and Ronald Kogens – Speakers at the 2020 Geneva Blockchain Congress | Geneva, 20 January 2020

09 January 2020

Froriep partners Julie Wynne and Ronald Kogens will be speakers at the 2020 Geneva Blockchain Congress on Monday 20 January 2020 at Palexpo in Geneva. They will participate to the roundtable "Social & Humanitarian Applications".

Presenting the work of WhatRocks Foundation, Julie Wynne will explain how impact advertising is the upcoming norm in the advertising industry and how digital advertising can be used by brands to support the charitable giving of the millennials #doingwellbydoinggood. Ronald Kogens will explain how blockchain can be used by mission-driven organisations to promote financial inclusion, transparency and efficiency and develop self- Sovereign Identity solutions and decentralised identifiers.

The 2020 Geneva Blockchain Congress will explore the theme of ‘from laboratory to market via ethics, regulation and governance‘. If blockchain-based applications have any chance of becoming mainstream, these three challenges will all require much more attention and serious development. The core aim of the Congress is to promote a constructive and healthy exchange of views between international standard-setting bodies, national governments that create the legal frameworks, and the private sector, whose role is to develop authentic and profitable products.
