Julie Wynne will chair on 4 May 2018 in Milan a panel on "Building Legal Practitioner Networks and Legal Education" with Nicholas Glicher (Trust Law), Aaron Bourke (Reed Smith and the Impact Investing Legal Working Group), Deborah Burand (Grunin Centre, NYU) as speakers at the annual conference of the European Social Enterprise Law Association (ESELA). The conference will focus on the theme of ‘Social Impact: Exploring Global Legal Trends’ and will gather legal experts from private practice, in-house and academia from around the world joining us in Milan to discuss and explore the latest legal trends in the impact economy.
At the conference, one will look at some of the major trends shaping the impact economy, such as the growth of impact investing, technological disruption, the Sustainable Development Goals and climate change and also explore what this means for the lawyers and law firms of the future and we will share expert perspectives on how impact is reflected and embedded in deal structures, funds and corporate governance. There will be a mix of speakers from private practice, in-house and academia from around the world and workshops on impact investing, social entrepreneurship, legal networks, co-operative finance and more.
