Efficiency in Arbitration

At Froriep we take a pragmatic approach to arbitration. We know what matters in international arbitration: to resolve a dispute both successfully as well as efficiently.

Froriep's arbitration team consists of more than a dozen specialists based in our Geneva, Zurich, London and Madrid offices, and combines decades of experience in international arbitration with a deep and specialist knowledge of international business law.

Over the last five decades, we have represented clients and acted as arbitrators in hundreds of commercial and investment disputes under the world's most prominent international arbitration rules (ICC, ICSID, Swiss Chambers, CAS/TAS, LCIA, DIS, VIAC, CAM, SCC, NAI, IATA, WIPO, UNCITRAL) and in arbitrations seated in Switzerland and across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia. We also conduct arbitrations in specialised areas, including sports, commodity trading, trust & estates, and investor-State.

Froriep's arbitration team is known to be distinctively international. We are all multi-lingual and collectively speak a dozen languages: Many of us are both civil and common law qualified and practiced with leading law firms in the UK, the USA, Spain, and other countries.

Froriep's arbitration team is also known to be at the forefront of this specialised area of dispute resolution. Our arbitration lawyers hold senior positions in leading arbitration institutions. They are frequent speakers and published authors on current issues of international arbitration. And they are ranked by industry guides, such as Chambers, Legal 500, and the Who's Who Legal, as being amongst Switzerland's and the world's top arbitration practitioners.

Q: What’s the key to the successful relationship with our arbitration clients?

A: “We see ourselves as our client's partner rather than just his adviser. We understand the client's business and his business goal in a dispute. This generates reciprocal trust and of course also makes us more effective advocates of our client's case”
