Swiss Post and the French La Poste launched the joint venture company Asendia
On July 6, 2012, Swiss Post and the French La Poste launched the joint venture company Asendia. With over 1'000 employees, a turnover of more than EUR 400 million and locations in Europe, North America and Asia, Asendia is positioned as one of the global leaders in B2C solutions for international mail. The European Commission and the Swiss Competition Commission (ComCo) cleared the transaction in Phase I of their proceedings after the parties had committed to divest some of their Swiss and French activities. Before ComCo, La Poste was advised by Froriep Renggli's partner Boris Wenger.
